[volume] (Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, November 08, 1913, Image 2 Death of Mrs. Clara Duffel Subra. - Mrs. Clara Duffel Subra, widow of the late Henry L. Subra, died at her home in Opelousas street at 8:45 o'clock Thursday night, after an illness of long duration, aged sixty-nine years. Deceased was a native of Donaldsonville and resided here practically all her life, being one of the community's oldest inhabitants. She was a true Christian in every sense of the term, gentle, kindly and charitable, and her passing away will be deeply mourned. The funeral took place at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon, interment being made in the Catholic cemetery after services at Ascension Church, Rev. J. M. T. Massardier officiating. Mrs. Subra is survived by one daughter, Miss Louise Subra; two nieces, Mrs. Charles Booksh, of Grosse Tete, and Miss Lula Duffel, of this city, and three nephews, Waldemar Duffel, of New Orleans, Albert Duffel, of Lake Charles, and V. L. Duffel, of Donaldsonville. Sincere sympathy is extended the bereaved family.
