Spencer H. Tasker, a popular young colored citizen of the third ward, died 
last Wednesday and was buried in the Protestant cemetery at this place on 
Thursday. Deceased was a prominent member of Hiram Lodge No. 12, H.D.F.A.Y.M., 
and the funeral ceremonies were conducted in an imposing manner and according 
to the Masonic ritual by the officers and members of that lodge. A large 
concourse of people were in attendance.
