Death of Mrs. Blanche Thibodaux.

The many friends of Mrs. Blanche Thibodaux were pained to learn of her death 
which occurred in Baton Rouge Saturday, July 17, at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. Robt. J. Reed. Mrs. Thidodaux was born in the parish of Ascension March 15, 
1853, and was the daughter of D.G. Neames and Millicent Laurence of England. Her 
upright Christian life and gentle, kindly was endeared her to all and served as 
an example and inspiration to those who knew her. She left two daughters, Mrs. 
Robt. J. Reed and Miss Florence Thibodaux, both of Baton Rouge, and one son, 
Edwin A. Thibodaux of St. Patrick; two sisters, Mrs. L.M. Turner of 
Donaldsonville and Mrs. Grace Aubert of New York, and one brother, M.M. Neams, 
of Comite, La.; besides these she is survived by eight grandchildren and 
numerous other relatives. The funeral took place at Baton Rouge. The remains 
were interred in Magnolia cemetery. Rev. S.P. DuBois of the Second Presbyterian 
church officiated at the services. Her grave was covered with beautiful floral 
offerings brought by friends. Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral 
were: Edwin A. Thibodaux of St. Patrick, La., Mr. and Mrs. M.M. Neams, Mrs. P. 
Oubre, Miss Edith Neams and Herbert Neams of Comite, La., Miss Rose Plaisance of 
Fort Worth, Texas., Mrs. L.M. Turner of Donaldsonville, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. A. 
Turner of New Orleans, D.W. Plaisance and son, Roy, of New Iberia and Maurice A. 
Neames of Gramercy.
