Died. - TRUXILLO - At his residence in the parish of Assumption, La., on 
Friday, April 2, 1886, at 9 o'clock P. M., SOSTHENE TRUXILLO, aged 54 years 
and 1 month.

Mr. Truxillo was a native and lifelong resident of our neighboring parish, a 
prosperous sugar planter, a man of exemplary habits and unspotted character, 
greatly beloved by his relatives and friends and highly respected by all who 
knew him. His loss will be keenly felt, not only by his immediate family, 
but the whole community of which he was an honored member. The funeral is to 
take place to-morrow, the cortege leaving the residence of the deceased at 
9:30 arriving at Assumption Church, Plattenville, two hours later, where the 
last sad rites of the Catholic ritual will be observed and the mortal 
remains of this good and true man consigned to the tomb.
