(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871 - current, September 09, 1916, Image 2 Former Citizen Dies. - Walter Glenn Thomas, aged 48 years, section foreman for the Texas & Pacific Railroad at White Castle, died Monday in the railroad company's hospital at Marshall, Texas, after an operation for appendicitis. His body was brought to Donaldsonville Tuesday afternoon on train No. 24, arriving at 3:36 o'clock, and after services at the Methodist church was laid to rest in the Protestant cemetery, Rev. P. O. Lowrey performed the religious rites. Th [ink smudge] in Donaldsonville [ink smudge] some years ago, [ink smudge] of friends here [ink smudge] grieved to learn of his demise. He was a [ink smudge] stalwart physique [ink smudge] inches above six feet [ink smudge] weighing about 250 pounds [ink smudge].
