His remains were brought to Smoke Bend and conveyed to the residence of his son, Arthur Veron, from whence the funeral took place at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, with services at the St. Francis of Assisium church in Smoke Bend and interment in the Donaldsonville Catholic cemetery. Both Mr. Veron and his wife, formerly Miss Amelia Rousseau, were natives of Smoke Bend, and resided there up to the latter part of 1912, when they removed to Lutcher.
