(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, November 19, 1881, Image 3 WALKER - At Donaldsonville, La., on Tuesday, November 15, 1881, Mrs. Margaret Walker, aged 32 years. Deceased was the wife of our friend and fellow citizen, Mr. Baptiste Walker, well known as a popular butcher and the First Assistant Foreman of Ascension Hook and Ladder Company, and was a sister of Mr. John Guey, a member of the same fire company, formerly residing here, but now located in New Orleans. Mrs. Walker had been ill but a short time. Her death is a sad blow to her sorrowing husband, and what makes it peculiarly distressing and untimely is the fact that she leaves six little children without the loving care of an indulgent mother, the youngest being a babe of two months. The funeral occurred Wednesday evening and was attended by a large number of friends and acquaintances of the deceased and her bereaved husband.
