Died. - WILSON - Near Donaldsonville, on Monday, Aug. 26, 1878, at 7 o'clock A. 
M., MISS IRENE C. WILSON, aged 15 years, a native of New Orleans.


She left New Orleans scarcely two weeks ago to escape the scourge prevailing 
there, only to be ruthlessly cut down by the unrelenting hand of death. The care 
of fond hearts could not stay the effects of the fearful malady, and as one 
passing off into a quiet slumber, she left for a world where sorrow and sickness 
are unknown. The void caused in the hearts of relatives and friends will never 
be filled; yet, when we think of the glorious crown now on her brow, we can only 
bow our heads and say, Rest thou in peace. - JUNIOR.
