(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871 - current, October 07, 1916, Image 2 Death of Mrs. Andre Waguespack. - Mrs. Andre Waguespack, nee Armantine Landry, died at her home on Stella plantation at 3:15 o'clock Tuesday morning, after an illness of several weeks, aged 38 years. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with services and interment in the Donaldsonville Catholic church and cemetery. Mrs. Waguespack was a young woman of unusual charm and sweetness, and had many devoted friends who mourn her untimely demise and will long cherish her memory. She is survived by her husband, a well-known young rice planter, and two small children, Andre, Jr., and Yvonne, the latter a baby girl not quite one year old. Others who mourn her loss are her mother, Mrs. L. A. Landry, Sr.; two brothers, L. A. Landry, Jr., and Gilbert Landry, and two sisters, Mrs. Edward Schaff and Mrs. Philip Hebert, all of Ascension parish. The death of Mrs. Waguespack is the second bereavement inflicted upon the Landry family within the past fortnight, her brother, Robert H. Landry, field manager of the Lemann Company's Rodriguez plantation, having expired suddenly the morning of Sept. 19.
