Joseph William, a colored boy 12 years of age, staying upon the Shepard 
plantation, First Ward, accidentally stabbed himself between the chest and the 
abdomen with a knife with which he was playing, on Tuesday last, and died in 
five minutes. A Coroner's jury was summoned, and returned a verdict in 
accordance with the facts.
