Master Walter Yard, the young son of Widow A.J. Yard of Galvez, died suddenly on 
Monday, Sept. 5 at 2 o'clock a.m., from the effects of an attack of cholera 
morbus. His remains were tenderly laid to rest in the Mt. Zion cemetery the 
following day, the funeral being attended by a large gathering of sorrowing 
relatives and friends. To the heart-broken mother, who was recently bereaved by 
the death of her husband and is now called upon to bear another great affliction 
in the loss of her promising young son, the profound sympathy of the entire 
community is extended.
