Smith Yentzen, a native of Ascension parish and for the greater part of his life a resident of Darrow, died suddenly from heart trouble at his home in that village at 1 o'clock last Saturday afternoon, aged fifty-five years, one month and three days. Mr. Yentzen conducted a bakery in Donaldsonville for several years, and was well and favorably known throughout this section. Of late years he had been engaged in farming on his place across the river. He was married twice, his first wife being Miss Ernestine Gentil. From this union seven children survive, as follows: Dominick, George, Wilfred, Wilmer, Mrs. Arnaud Mire, Mrs. Felix Hiriart and Miss Adele Yentzen. His second wife, formerly Mrs. Pauline Bourg, and her two small boys, Joseph and Adolph, survive him also. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon, with services and interment in the Donaldsonville Catholic church and cemetery. Sincere sympathy is tendered the bereaved family by a wide circle of friends and acquauntances.
