(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, January 12, 1878, page 3 WILSON -- CLAVERIE Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock, at the pastoral residence of the Catholic Church, a silken knot was tied which united the happy hearts of Mr. Henry C. Wilson, manager of the Palo Alto plantation, and Miss Armide Claverie, daughter of J. J. Claverie, Esq., condemning them to the blissful prospect of life companionship. A number of invited friends witnessed the ceremony, and many who could not make it convenient to attend heartily join in the felicitations showered upon the handsome groom and beautiful bride. Among these is the writer, who reiterates now the toast which was given when the bottle of champagne and piece of bride's cake sent to the editor's residence were discussed: "Long life, prosperity and happiness to Mr. and Mrs. Wilson." The newly married couple left for New Orleans on Tuesday's train, and remained until yesterday, when they returned to begin their new life in the neat dwelling which Mr. Wilson recently had built on the Palo Alto place in anticipation of the happy event consummated last Tuesday.
