(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, February 08, 1913, page 5 LAMBERT -- COINTMENT The many friends in this community of George Lambert, formerly of Faubourg la Pipe, but presently located in Thibodaux, will be interested to learn of his marriage to Miss Clara Cointment, a popular young woman of that town, the ceremony having been solemnized on Wednesday of last week, the 29th ultimo. The following account of the nuptials is taken from the Thibodaux Commercial-Journal of Feb. 5: "Last Wednesday between noon and one o'clock there was a quiet wdding (sic) at St. Joseph's Catholic church, the participants being George Lambert and Miss Clara Cointment. The affair was kept so quiet that scarcely any one was aware of the date, much less the hour, and the announcement therefore came as a complete surprise to their many friends and acquaintances. Following the wedding there was a dinner at the home of the bride's parents, at which only the family and close relatives attended. The couple boarded the afternoon train for New Orleans, and after a short stay there they returned to make their home in this town. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roman Cointment, of Thibodaux. She is possessed of many accomplishments, and is well and favorably known by a large circle of friends, who will receive the glad tidings with pleasure. The groom, although not a native, being originally from Donaldsonville, has been here for a sufficient length of time to be known to all, is esteemed by his friends, and is a good fellow well met. He is the junior member of the successful jewelry firm of Trepagnier & lambert, and has been located here as manager of the firm's business for eight years or more. He is receiving the congratulations of his many friends on having won such a fair bride." A host of friends here join in extending felicitations and good wishes to the happy pair, and hope to have the pleasure of greeting them in person before many days have passed.
