Courreges of this city, to Don J. Guillard, a rising young business man of Mineola, Texas, which was solemnized at the Catholic church on Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock, Rev. J. M. T. Massardier officiating. At the appointed hour and to the beautiful strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march, exquisitely played on the great pipe organ by Mrs. L. C. Duhon, with violin and cornet accompaniment by Miss Emma Ohlmeyer and Emile Houillon, the bride, a petite brunette, chic and graceful in her rich robe of white net over charmeuse (sic) and carrying a shower bouquet of asters, entered the sacred edifice leaning on the arm of her uncle, F. A. Courreges, of Baton Rouge, who gave her in marriage. She was preceded by her sister and maid- of-honor, Miss Philomene Courreges, who was gowned in soft white messaline (sic) and carried a bouquet of asters and asparagus fern. The groom had as his best man Xavier Courreges, a brother of the bride. During the signing of the register "Face to Face" was softly rendered, and a repetition of the wedding march was played as a recessional. After the ceremony, which was witnessed by a large assemblage of relatives and friends, the young couple were tendered an informal reception at the Courreges home in Chetimaches street, and at 2:15 o'clock they left via the steamer Virgie and Mississippi Valley route for New Orleans, where they will spend several days before proceeding to their home in Mineola. Mr. and Mrs. Guillard have a wide circle of friends and acquaintances in this community and elsewhere who join in extending them cordial congratulations upon the fulfillment of their dream of happiness and best wishes for a contented and prosperous married life.
