(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, February 14, 1914, page 3 PONS -- DEHON A pretty romance was sealed with the sacred bond of matrimony when Miss Elma Ruth Dehon, of this city, and Albert A. Pons, of New Orleans, were united in wedlock, the ceremony being performed at St. John's Catholic church in New Orleans on Wednesday of last week, the 4th inst., Rev. Father Walsh officiating. The young couple had been engaged for some time, but no date for the wedding had been set and their marriage was a complete surprise to their many friends. The bride left here on the 3rd inst., ostensibly to visit relatives in New Orleans, and in accordance with a pre-arranged plan met Mr. Pons the following day and went with him and a couple of friends, Dr. and Mrs. O'Farrell, to St. John's church, where the impressive words were spoken which united their hearts and hands for the journey through life. Mr. Pons is a son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Pons, formerly of this city, but now domiciled in New Orleans. A musician of considerable talent and a young man of exceptionally urbane manners and attractive personality, he has before him the prospect of a bright and prosperous future, and is in every way worthy of the charming girl he has won for a helpmate and companion. The bride is the lovely daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Dehon, of this city, and one of the most popular and admired young women in local society circles. Endowed with unusual charms of person and a disposition of sweet kindliness, she counts among her devoted friends all who have the pleasure of her acquaintance, and carries with her into her new life a wealth of good wishes and fond hopes. The Chief joins in the cordial felicitations extended the happy pair, and trusts their married life may ever be blissful and prosperous, with sorrow a stranger in their household.
