Dixon of Hope Villa, and Miss Mamie Duplantier, a pretty and accomplished young woman of East Baton Rouge parish, were married last Sunday at the home of the bride's mother on Highland Road, near Baton Rouge, Rev. Father S.J. Solignac officiating. Simple decorations of Easter lillies (sic) and ferns were were used most effectively in the spacious parlors, where the family and relatives gathered to witness the impressive ceremony which made the happy couple man and wife. There were no attendants, the bride, looking exceedingly sweet and lovely in a gown of white grandmother's swiss and lace, being given into the groom's keeping by her brother, Dennis Duplantier. Mr. and Mrs. Dixon left shortly after the ceremony for Baton Rouge, where the groom holds a responsible position in the employ of the Garig-Wilson Hardware Company, and where they will make their permanent residence. The Chief joins their many friends in extending them hearty congratulations and best wishes for a long life of continued happiness.
