DELAUNE -- EVANS

E.F. Delaune and Miss Gillie May Evans, popular young people of the New River 
section of the parish, were quietly married at 2:30 o'clock last Saturday 
afternoon in the parlors of the Nicholls Hotel, Judge Edmund Maurin officiating. 
T.P. Evans and Parish Treasurer A.A. Kling acted as witnesses, and several 
relatives and intimate friends of the contracting parties were in attendance. 
After the ceremony a sumptuons (sic) dinner was served in the dining-room of the 
Nicholls Hotel, at the conclusion of which Mr. and Mrs. Delaune left for their 
future home in the eighth ward.
