(Thibodaux, Lna.) 1875-1898, September 01, 1894, English, Image 3 POLMER -- FEITEL ORANGE BLOSSOMS, - POLMER - FEITEL. - The most brilliant event of the season in Donaldsonville was the one that took place on last Sunday at 2:30 p. m. It was the marriage of Mr. Samuel Polmer of Thibodaux and Miss Stella Feitel of Donaldsonville, Rev. Rabbi Sessler of New Orleans, officiating. Rarely in the county seat of the Parish of Ascension has a larger crowd of admiring friends met to witness the blending of two hearts as the one which met on last Sunday evening, August 26th, to witness the joining in wedlock of Mr. Polmer and Miss Feitel. The bridal party was conveyed in carriages from the residence of the bride's father, Mr. G. Feitel, to the Synagogue, and alighting from their carriages, hundreds of admiring friends greeted them as they entered the portals of the temple. The bride leaning on the arm of her father, wore a most elegant gown, and headed the procession; then came the groom; then the groomsmen and bridesmaids - Mr. Leon Polmer, brother of the groom, and Miss Octavie Feitel, sister of the bride; Mr. Jules Leumas and Miss Florence Maas; and Mr. Jules Feitel and Miss Nellie Joseph; then followed the invited guests. After the ceremony the bridal party returned to the residence of the bride's father, where they partook of a most sumptuous and elegant dinner, at the termination of which amid bumpers of the sparkling wine, they drank to the future happiness of the groom and bride. The charming bride is the lovely daughter of Mr. G. Feitel, a prosperous merchant of Donaldsonville; she is noted for her many good traits of heart and character, and will make a helpmate worthy her partner. Mr. Sam Poimer is the senior partner of the Polmer Bros. Thibodaux Bottling Co.; by his assiduity to business, he has gained many friends in our midst, and during his short stay here, has established a good and lucrative business, and soon became a favorite among our boys. Mr. and Mrs. Polmer were made the recipients of many elegant, handsome and valuable presents, from their many friends. The happy couple have made Thibodaux their home, and are now residing on St. Philip street; they are most welcome in our midst. We wish them a long life of usefulness, happiness and prosperity.
