(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, February 23, 1878, page 3 CIRE -- GINGRY At the Catholic Church, Thursday evening, a large assemblage of invited guests gathered to witness the nuptials of Widow A. J. Gingry's handsome and accomplished daughters, Misses Helen and Jane, who were respectively led to the hymeneal altar by Messrs. R. H. Braud of St. James and George S. Cire of Donaldsonville. Of course, the brides looked lovely, and the six bridesmaids scarcely less so, while the grooms and their gentlemen attendants presented a handsome appearance. The impressive marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Cuppens, and at its conclusion the party repaired to the residence of the brides' mother, where a major portion of the night was whiled away with dancing. The felicitations of a legion of friends have been showered upon the newly wedded couple, and the Chief contributes its mite to swell the volume of congratulation.
