(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, February 06, 1915, page 3 MAURIN -- HEBERT Well-Known Ascensionite Marries Popular White Castle Girl. The wedding of Miss Mattie Catherine Hebert, of White Castle, to Thomas Jefferson Maurin, of Belle Alliance, was quietly solemnized at the Catholic church in the former town at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, in the presence of a small assemblage of relatives and close friends. Rev. Father de Maurizi performed the pretty ceremony, and the attendants were Miss Olive Papet, of White Castle, and Wm. I. Hebert, of Baton Rouge. After the knot had been tied the young couple came to Donaldsonville to spend a few days with the groom's mother, Mrs. Ned Maurin, and will leave today for Belle Alliance, where Mr. Maurin is employed as a field marshall on one of the places of the Belle Alliance Planting Company. He is a young man of splendid character and attractive personality, and is held in high esteem by all who have the pleasure of knowing him. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence T. Hebert and a niece of Secretary of State Alvin E. Hebert and Hon. Clarence S. Hebert of New Orleans, and is a prepossessing and accomplished young woman, whose charms have endeared her to a wide circle of friends and acquaintances. The Chief joins in the felicitations and good wishes that have been showered upon the popular pair and hopes the span of their married life will extend through many happy and prosperous years.
