(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, August 23, 1913, page 3 COMSTOCK -- HERNDON A wedding of interest to friends of the groom in this section took place Wednesday morning at Fort Worth, Texas, when Edwin Comstock, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Comstock, Jr., led to the altar of Hymen Miss Ellie Herndon, an attractive young woman of the Texas city. Immediately after the nuptial ceremony, the newly-weds boarded train for New Orleans, where they will make their home. The groom's father is a son of Capt. J. A. Comstock, the well-known steamboatman, while his mother is a sister of Captains Harry and Al. Whiteman, of this city. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Comstock, Jr., who have been residing in Beaumont for several months, were in attendance at the wedding and accompanied the bridal couple to New Orleans, whence they and their second son, Warwick, will sail for New York to take up their residence, Mr. Comstock expecting to become associated with one of the metropolitan dailies.
