CASSO -- MICHEL

Henry Casso, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Lucien Casso, and Miss Mary Michel, a 
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodule Michel, were married at the Catholic 
church at 5:30 o'clock Wednesday morning, Rev. Father Benedict officiating. The 
bride was given away by her grand-father, Joseph Landry, and had as her maid of 
honor and sole attendant her sister, Miss Adele Michel. The groom's best man was 
his brother, Lucien Casso, Jr. The young couple left immediately after the 
ceremony for New Orleans, from whence they proceeded to Pass Christian, Miss., 
for ten days' stay. Upon their return they will go to house-keeping in the 
commodious Tobias cottage in Houmas street, which has been attractively fitted 
up for their occupancy.

The bride is one of Donaldsonville's most charming and popular young women, with 
a disposition of exceptional sweetness and amiability, and numbers among her 
devoted friends and admirers all who have the pleasure of her acquaintance. Mr. 
Casso is a young man of splendid character, whose life to date has been a model 
of upright conduct and industrious application, and he is in every way worthy of 
the lovely and accomplished girl he has won for a life-time companion and help-
mate.

Both young people have been employed in clerical capacities in the Netter store 
for some time, and it was there the pretty romance began which was crowned by 
their happy marriage Wednesday morning. The Chief joins their multitude of 
friends in extendng (sic) them congratulations and good wishes, and hopes the 
sunshine of prosperity and contentment will illuminate their pathway through the 
years.
