(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, June 08, 1907, page 3 ERIS -- MOGUES Smith Eris, formerly of Donaldsonville, but for some time past a resident of New Orlenas, and Miss Jeanne Nogues, the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Zachary Nogues, of that city, were married at the church of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, in New Orleans, on Wednesday, May 29, at 7 o'clock p.m., Rev. Celestin M. Frain officiating. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Clara Nogues, and Sidney Eris, brother of the groom, acted as best man. The happy couple came to Donaldsonville to spend their honeymoon and were pleasantly entertained by relatives of the groom, subsequently returning to New Orleans to take up their residence at 1821 North Claiborne street. Mr. Eris holds the position of car repairer at the New Orleans Railway and Light Company's Arabella barn, and is highly esteemed by his employers and fellow workmen. He has a large number of friends in this community and elsewhere, all of whom will join The Chief in wishing him and his fair young bride an indefinite continuance of their new-found happiness.
