The ceremony which made the happy couple man and wife was performed by Rev. J.M.T. Massardier in the presence of a large assemblage of relatives and friends, and was most impressive and beautiful. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Rose Plaisance, while the groom had as his best man Louis Scharfschwerdt, the other attendants being H. Miller and Miss Mabel Thibodaux and John Bartels and Miss Anna Schepp. After the ceremony the bridal party were driven to the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Prosper Plaisance on St. Emma plantation, where a delightful reception and dinner was tendered them. Later Mr. and Mrs. Breitling drove to Donaldsonville and boarded the afternoon train for New Orleans, from whence they departed for a two weeks' honeymoon trip to Florida. The bride is the charming daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Prosper Plaisance, and is a young woman of rare accomplishments and attractive personality, possessing numerous virtues of mind and person which have endeared her to all who have the plasure (sic) of knowing her. The groom is chief clerk to J. Kemp Ridgely, division passenger agent of the L. and N. Railway, and is a young man of marked ability and wide popularity. Upon their return from Florida Mr. and Mrs. Breitling will take up their residence in New Orleans. The Chief joins their many friends in extending them hearty congratulations and cordial good wishes for a long and happy life.
