(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, June 02, 1917, Image 3 DUKE -- PLUMER Miss Lydia Plumer, of New Orleans, and Elmo Duke, of Philadelphia, Pa., whose marriage will be solemnized in New Orleans the afternoon of June 6, returned to the Crescent City Wednesday after spending a week here very enjoyably as the guests of Mr. Duke's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Duke went to New Orleans Wednesday to be present at the marriage of her son, Lee Elmo Duke, of Philadelphia, Pa., to Miss Lydia Plumer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Plumer, of New Orleans. The wedding ceremony was performed at the Church of the Holy Rosary in Esplanade avenue at 5:45 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, and the young couple left shortly afterward for a bridal trip to Asheville and other points. They will make their home in Philadelphia, where the groom is connected with a prominent firm of accountants. The Chief tenders felicitations to the well-mated pair, and wishes them unbounded happiness and prosperity.
