(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, February 25, 1911, page 4 DELAUNE -- SAVOIE On Tuesday last, the 21st inst., at 4:30 o'clock in the afternoon, Miss Marie Savoie, of Belle Rose, and Alphonse A. Delaune, of Napoleonville, were married at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sabin Savoie, Rev. Father Branche officiating. Miss Heloise Gilbert served as flower girl and little Miss Sartolo Savoie as ring-bearer. The bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in a handsome lingerie dress, elaborately trimmed with lace, in which she looked very pretty and graceful. After the ceremony refreshments were served and the health and happiness of the newly mated pair was pledged in sparkling wine. The color scheme of the attractive decorations arranged for the occasion was white and pink, with green foliage. The happy couple left for their home on Madewood plantation, taking with them the cordial congratulations and good wishes of a host of friends. They were the recipients of many pretty and costly gifts. Those present at the nuptial ceremony and reception were: Mr. and Mrs. O'Neil Delaune and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. P.H. Gilbert, Samuel Gilbert and George Talbot, all of Napoleonville; Mr. and Mrs. S.H. St. Martin and Miss Lucille St. Martin, of Green Gables; Mrs. Ida Dossat and daughters, and Miss Ada Alleman, of Belle Alliance.
