Himel, scion of one of the oldest and best-known families of the parish of St. James, and Miss Emma M. Tircuit, the accomplished daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Tircuit, of Welcome, were married at the St. James Catholic church at 8 o'clock a.m. Wedensday, Jan. 30, in the presence of a large gathering of relatives and friends. The attendants were Numa Tircuit and Miss Jennie Himel, respectively brother and sister of the bride and groom. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. and Mrs. Himel left for New Orleans for a stay of several days, taking with them the congratulations and good wishes of a host of friends and admirers, among whom The Chief is pleased to be counted.
