Legendre 7 Jan. 1905 MARY BLANCHARD, the daughter of ALFRED BLANCHARD, was married last Thursday to STEPHEN DOLESE at the St. Napoleon Church, Napoleonville, at 4:30 P.M. Her sister AMELIE BLANCHARD was her maid of honor. MR. AND MRS. T. A. BLANCHARD are the proud parents of a fine baby girl. MRS. ANTOINE ALLEMAN, aged 66 years, died Tuesday, Jan. 3rd. at 5 P.M. at her Plattenville residence. She is survived by one brother and six children. Her children are SIDNEY ALLEMAN, ROBERT ALLEMAN, EDWARD ALLEMAN, PEDRO ALLEMAN, MRS. RODOLPH TEMPLET, and MRS. L. A. FLANDRY. 14 Jan. 1905 OMER JUNOT became the new manager on Elmfield Plantation, replacing WALTHALL. On CHAUFFE Brothers' Rosedale Plantation, LEBLANC will fill JUNOT's old position. E. E. LEBLANC has posted "No Hunting" on Belle Vue Plantation. The overseer on Oakley Plantation, ANDRE MENUET, has accepted a position on the Cedar Grove Plantation of SIGNORETTE. JACK MARTLEY will succeed MR. MENUET. SIDONIA LEBLANC of the Attakapas Canal married SIDNEY HEBERT of St. Martinville last Tuesday at St. Napoleon Church in Napoleonville. 21 Jan. 1905 On Belle Alliance Plantation last Saturday, HARRY BRYANT was shot by JACK SHIELDS. BIRTHS: A girl was born to MR. AND MRS. SAM LANDRY on Tuesday and a girl, also, to MR. AND MRS. PHIL L. GILBERT on Wednesday. JOSEPH F. BERNIARD, the son of JULES BERNIARD, and the manager of the Napoleonville bakery, married MISS JOSEPHINE BARRILLEAUX, the daughter of FRANCOIS BARRILLEAUX of Lockport, La. on Jan. 17th. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in White Castle, La. MISS BARRILLEAUX had been residing with her uncle, PAUL BLANCHARD of White Castle. Her sister ADELE BARRILLEAUX was her maid of honor. The couple will reside in Napoleonville. 28 Jan. 1905 LIZE BARRILLEAUX, the daughter of T. BARRILLEAUX, was married on Thursday, Jan. 26th. at the St. Napoleon Church to ROBERT GILBERT of Napoleonville, who, until a few days ago, was a teacher at the Lower Texas (Plantation) School. BIRTHS: A girl to MR. AND MRS. ED RODRIGUE of Paincourtville; A girl to MR. AND MRS. LEO MARQUETTE this week; A boy to MR. AND MRS. BRUFF FOLSE on Wednesday. JESSIE JUMONVILLE died last Wednesday of pneumonia at the age of 34. He was the son of ARTHUR JUMONVILLE. Funeral services were held at Paincourtville with burial at Donaldsonville. LUCIUS F. SUTHON, a lawyer and a planter of Terrebonne Parish, died Sunday at Hotel Dieu in New Orleans. His death was caused by a carbuncle. Services were read on Monday at 1225 Washington Avenue at the family's New Orleans home. The funeral on Tuesday was at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Houma. MR. SUTHON was born in Assumption Parish on May 18, 1848. He had practiced law in Terrebonne Parish since 1874. He is survived by his mother nee MANNETTE M. BLANCHARD. (His father LUCIUS SUTHON, deceased, was a native of England.) He is also survived by two brothers: WALTER J. SUTHON of Honduras Plantation in Terrebonne Parish and HUGH SUTHON, superintendent of the New Orleans Mint; and by three sisters: GEORGIANNA SUTHON, a missionary in Japan; MARY SUTHON; and FANNY SUTHON. HEPBURN SAVOIE and EDITH AYRAUD were married last Wednesday in Napoleonville. ARMENTINE MARTIN, the wife of CAPT. MAX BLANCHARD, died last Saturday at her home in New Orleans. She was 73 years of age. 4 Feb. 1905 Last Thursday, the home of MRS. THEODULE TROSCLAIR in Lafourche Parish was destroyed by fire. An old colored servant who had worked there for years perished in the fire. There have been several cases of smallpox near Plattenville one on the plantation of P. A. CHARLET, four at EDWARD GUILLOT's, and two at BAKER-WAKEFIELD. BIRTHS: A girl was born Tuesday to MR. AND MRS. FERDINAND LANDRY, and to MR. AND MRS. GEORGE ADOLPH - twins - a boy and a girl. MAYOR PHIL H. GILBERT's daughter, EDNA ADELINE GILBERT, was christened Friday at Napoleonville. GEORGE LEBLANC and ALMA DUGAS were married last Thursday at Morgan City. 11 Feb. 1905 FERMIN PREAUX, aged 70 years, died at his Plattenville home on Wednesday. A Confederate veteran, he had in the early 1880's moved to the place of his brother, LOUIS PREAUX, near Plattenville, at which place the funeral was held on Thursday. Deceased leaves a wife, one son, and two sisters - MRS. LANDRY, the mother of OLEUS LANDRY, who lived with him, and MRS. NORBERT LEBOEUF of Cameron. ALPHONSE AUCOIN of Terrebonne Parish, who was to marry ANNIE BLANCHARD of this parish on Feb. 22nd., died Thursday. CLEBERT LANDRY married SYLVARIA CEDOTAL last Tuesday at the Paincourtville Catholic Church. 18 Feb. 1905 NUMA BERNIARD married HELENA BERTIN of Napoleonville at the St. Napoleon Church last Tuesday at 4:30 P. M. Her brother JOSEPH BERTIN of the Teche gave her away. MRS. ALCEE LEBLANC, aged 59, died this morning at Klotzville. The funeral will be held in Paincourtville tomorrow. ALBERT MARTIN and LOUISE BERGERON were married last Thursday at St. Philomena Church. They will reside on the Texana Plantation. ELPHEGE BARBIER and CLAIRE AUCOIN, both of Plattenville, plan to wed on Thursday, March 2nd. at Plattenville. JUDGE and MRS. PAUL LECHE celebrated their 25th. wedding anniversary last Saturday. (Donaldsonville Times) We are saddened to report the death of MRS. ALCEE LEBLANC. 25 Feb. 1905 MRS. CLEMENT BLOOMFIELD, aged 66, nee LEAH LEBLANC died Wednesday at her home in Klotzville. The funeral was held Thursday at St. Elizabeth Church, Paincourtville. MARCILLIEN ARCENEAUX, aged 58, died last Wednesday at his home near St. Thomas. He was the brother of DESIRE ARCENEAUX, ARISTIDE ARCENEAUX, and JOSEPH ARCENEAUX. He leaves a wife and six children: PAUL ARCENEAUX, ALICE ARCENEAUX, EDWARD ARCENEAUX, AUGUSTIN ARCENEAUX, AMANDA ARCENEAUX, and LELIA ARCENEAUX. The funeral was held on Thursday at Labadieville. HENRY C. BLANCHARD, aged 33 years, the son of AMADEO BLANCHARD and brother of AMADEO BLANCHARD, JR., died of pneumonia Tuesday at 8 o'clock at his home in Paincourtville. He had once operated a livery stable and was presently in charge of a grocery store. Six or seven years ago he married MARIE GUEDRY and they had one daughter. MRS. AMBROISE CALLIER, 55, nee MALVINA MELANCON, a native of Plattenville, died at her home Friday. She is survived by her husband and the following children: MRS. JOSEPH LEZE, MRS. LEZIN HIMEL, MISSES ZOE CALLIER and ESTELLE CALLIER, ROBERT CALLIER of Jamestown, and RENE CALLIER of Assumption. The funeral was held today at Plattenville. NORBERT BARTON, the eldest son of HERBERT W. BARTON, returned to Donaldsonville last week after three years in the Navy. He served on the battleship ILLINOIS and the cruiser BROOKLYN. LILLIAN DAIGLE, daughter of A. J. DAIGLE, and JOSEPH SCHRIEBER, son of the HONORABLE CHARLES SCHRIEBER, were married Thursday evening at the bride's home in Belle Rose. The maid of honor was JUANITA DAIGLE, sister of the bride. FLORENTIN HEBERT, the uncle of L. P. HEBERT of Napoleonville, died Wednesday, Feb. 22nd. at his home in Pierre Part. He was 88 years old last December. ALFRED ESNAULT, a lumberman of Ascension Parish, died Tuesday at his home. IDA MICHEL married ALBERT GIROIRE last Wednesday at St. Napoleon Church. They will live on Elm Hall Plantation. THOMAS SUPPLE COMEAUX, a Texas and Pacific agent, was married last Tuesday to LUCILLE HILDA FOLSE at St. Paul Ch. in Bayou Goula. They will reside in Napoleonville. MARY BLANCHARD, the sixteen-year-old daughter of MR. ALCIDE BLANCHARD, died last Sunday evening. The funeral was held at St. Napoleon Church. 4 Mar. 1905 ALCEE LEBLANC, 55 years of age, died Wednesday, March 1st. of pneumonia. The funeral was held Thursday at Paincourtville. CLARENCE JONES of Napoleonville married LOUISE AYRAUD at her home in Klotzville on Wednesday. MASTER LENARD JONES, son of the groom acted as page. A baby girl was born recently to MR. & MRS. A. C. BUGG. IVY GREEN KITTREDGE, a former Napoleonville resident, and now an attorney in New Orleans, will marry MARIETTA LAROISSE of New Orleans at the Church of the Immaculate Conception. (No date given) A former Labadieville resident, CLEMENCE ACHEE, the daughter of SYLVESTER ACHEE, was married at her Thibodaux home to A. L. CROOM, an agent of the Southern Pacific Railroad at Gueydan, La. 11 Mar. 1905 MRS. OSCAR J. HIMEL of Tallieu, aged 53 years, died Thursday, March 9th. near Schriever at the home of her son-in-law, EDDIE CROSS. The funeral was held Friday at St. Philomena Church, Labadieville. Her children are MRS. LOUIS DILL, MRS. HENRY AYCOCK, MRS. EDDIE CROSS, WALTER HIMEL, and SIDNEY HIMEL. BEN MARTIN married JENNIE ROUTIER on Thursday, March 2nd. in Laura (Plantation) at the home of the bride's mother, MRS. E. L. ROUTIER. MR. LOVINCY HEBERT, resident of Paincourtville for many years, has moved to Bayou Goula. EDWARD C. THERIOT of Avoca will marry DEA E. DOLESE, the daughter of FELIX DOLESE of Albemarle on April 26th. at St. Philomena. ALFRED WHEDDEN, business manager for the Donaldsonville Chief married VIVIAN LEAR of Donaldsonville last Wednesday at the St. Paul Episcopal Church rectory in New Orleans. ADDlE ACOSEE, the daughter of JOSEPH ACOSEE, married BEN BOUDREAUX last Monday at St. Napoleon Church. Also married on Monday at St. Napoleon were JOHN BOUDREAUX and AGNES DAIGLE. 18 Mar. 1905 DR. LOUIS VIALLON of Bayou Goula and resident of White Castle for the last few years, died at his brother's home Tuesday. His wife ALINE FOLSE, daughter of JUDGE L. U. FOLSE, died about three years ago. At 2 A.M. today, the store of PAUL FRANCIONI of Labadieville was robbed. The thieves blew the safe open with dynamite, stole $15 and then fled on stolen horses. SUSSIE ECCLES of White Castle married CHARLES E. DALEY last January. He is the local manager of the Cumberland Telephone Co. at White Castle. His first wife, whom he left in Fenville, Michigan, showed up in Baton Rouge, learned of the second marriage and had him arrested. He claims he had filed for divorce and assumed the divorce had been secured. 25 Mar. 1905 MRS. NARCISSE TEMPLET, aged 85 years 5 months, died Friday morning. She is survived by five children: MRS. CLERVILLE LEBLANC, MRS. CAMILLE TEMPLET, MRS. ALCIDE GIROIR, FLEGIE TEMPLET, and MRS. FRANCOIS THIBODAUX. Two daughters, MRS. AURELIEN SIMONEAUX and MRS. DOURADOU AUCOIN, are deceased. Wednesday morning at the St. Napoleon Church, there was a service for the repose of the soul of MRS. AUGUSTE HEBERT.
