Napoleonville. - Marion Corbin, a colored woman, living on the Elm Hall plantation, died last week at the advanced age of 110 years and seven months. She was born May 10, 1791 in the state of Maryland. She was undoubtedly the oldest person on Bayou Lafourche. She remembered General Jackson and could relate things which happened ninety years ago. Since the last fifteen years she had not been able to work, but was always in good health and walked around freely. She was buried at the colored Baptist Cemetery.
