(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, August 22, 1914, page 2 Death of Jules Dugas. - Many friends throughout this section were grieved to learn of the death of Jules Dugas, one of the oldest citizens of Assumption parish, who passed away at his home in Brusley St. Martin on the 9th inst., aged seventy-eight years. The funeral took place Monday afternoon, Aug. 10, with services and interment in the Paincourtville Catholic church and cemetery. Mr. Dugas was a native of Assumption and resided in that parish all his life, being universally respected for his upright character and enjoying in fullest measure the affection and confidence of all who knew him. He is survived by the following children, all of whom are among the most prominent and esteemed citizens of the communities in which they reside: Messrs. Henry, Clay and Ursin Dugas, Mrs. Vileor Dugas, Mrs. Elphege Blanchard, and Mrs. Joseph Gautreaux. The sincere sympathy of an exceptionally wide circle of friends and acquaintances is tendered the bereaved family.
