Mrs. John Gehringer, nee Vogel, died at her home in Napoleonville on Monday of 
last week, the 21st ult., at 2:30 o'clock a.m., aged eighty years. She was a 
native of Bavaria, Germany, but came to this country when sixteen years of age 
and had been a resident of Napoleonville since 1864. Among the relatives left to 
mourn her loss are three children - Miss Lizzie Gehringer, Postmaster Rudolph A. 
Gehringer and Mrs. Elphege Lauland, all of Napoleonville - to whom the heartfelt 
sympathy of an exceptionally wide circle of friends and acquaintances is 
extended.

MRS. JOHN GEHRINGER, nee MARY ANNA VOGEL, aged 80 years and 2 months, died last 
Monday morning at 2:30 o'clock at her home in this town. MRS. GEHRINGER was born 
in Bavaria, Germany, and came to America when she was 16. She has lived in 
Napoleonville since 1864. She leaves the following children: MISS LIZZIE 
GEHRINGER, POSTMASTER RUDOLPH A. GEHRINGER, and MRS. ELPHEGE LAULAND. The 
funeral was held at Christ (Episcopal) Church in this town.
