Mr. Godchaux resided in Assumption a number of years; he was manager of the large Elm Hall factory of the Godchaux Company. He was a very successful sugar factory superintendent and was one of the best posted men on the manufacture of sugar. For the past twenty years he has been the manager of the big Reserve Refinery at Reserve, La. His death is regretted by everyone who knew him, as he was a worhty (sic) citizen and a good man.
