Mrs. Pierre P. Landry, nee Nellie Ayraud, died at her husband's home on Westfield plantation, Assumption parish, at 2:20 o'clock p. m. last Sunday, after an illness of only a few days with malignant malarial fever. The funeral took place at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon and was largely attended, interment being made in the local Catholic cemetery after services at the Church of the Ascension. Mrs. Landry was a native of this city, and had attained the age of thirty- five years and ten months. Besides her husband, who is the chief engineer of the Westfield sugar factory, she is survived by three daughters, the eldest of whom is but twelve years old; two small sons; two sisters, Mrs. Fred. Landry of Donaldsonville and Mrs. Demephon LeBlanc of Assumption, and one brother, Pat Ayraud. To these afflicted ones The Chief begs leave to tender assurances of sincere sympathy.
