LeBlanc, one of upper Assumption's oldest and most highly esteemed citizens, died at his home at Belle Rose at 4 o'clock this morning, in the seventy-ninth year of his age. He was a veteran of the Confederacy, having served in the Second Louisiana Cavalry under Col. W.G. Vincent, and was a member of Major Victor Maurin Camp No. 38, U.C.V., of this city, being quartermaster of the command. The funeral will be held tomorrow forenoon, with interment in the camp tomb in the Donaldsonville Catholic cemetery.
