Prejean in Assumption parish at 4:50 o'clock p. m. Saturday after a short illness. Mrs. Prejean was only 21 years, 11 months and 21 days old, and was married about ten months ago to the son of the owner of Halfway plantation. Her remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery in Plattenville at 5 o'clock Sunday afternoon, and the large concourse of sorrowing friends which attended the funeral evidenced the esteem in which the lamented lady was held. Besides her husband, Mrs. Prejean leaves to mourn her loss a mother, Mrs. Sosthene Truxillo, and two brothers, Faustin and John Truxillo. The Chief tenders deepest sympathy to the bereaved family. source: The Donaldsonville Chief. (Donaldsonville, La.) 1871-current, September 17, 1904, Image 5 MRS.
