(Napoleonville [La.] 185? - 1895, August 31, 1878, English, Image 1 Thomas Vilmont Rodrigue died at his residence, in this parish, on the twenty- ninth instant, of yellow fever, according to the opinion of Dr. Joseph A. Blanchard, his able attending physician. Then, indeed, we are pained to announce that the fell destroyer is in our midst, and one of its first victims is a gentleman, as a husband, father, brother, son, loyal citizen and an ex- Confederate soldier, who had no superior in this or any other community. The cold sod lied not over a nobler creation of God than our departed friend, and may the gentle winds of Heaven be tempered to the shorn lamb The interesting family of the deceased has our sincere sympathy in this sad bereavement.
