Emma Jane Landry Thibodeaux, 71, a native of Paincourtville and a resident of 
Plattenville, died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at Tulane University Medical 
Center in New Orleans. Survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Francis 
Thibodeaux Jr., of Belle Rose, Blaine and Tammy Fields Thibodeaux, of River 
Ridge, and Craig Thibodeaux, of Labadieville; six grandchildren, Chantel, 
Travis, Dex, Hunter, Andree and Whitney Thibodeaux; two great-grandchildren, 
Bailey and Karsan Thibodeaux; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Esther and 
Wayne Melancon and Nedra Ramagos; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and 
Brenda Landry and Gregory and Cynthia Landry; sister-in-law, Joyce Boudreaux; 
special friend, Crystal Picou; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 
Preceded in death by her husband, Francis "Mule" Thibodeaux Sr.; parents, 
Henry "Pook" and Mailey Sedotal Landry; baby sister, Mailey Julie Landry; and 
brothers-in-law, Cecil Ramagos Sr. and Eddie Boudreaux. She was a member of 
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Catholic Church in Plattenville and the Magic 
Fingers Quilting and Sewing Club. A memorial service will take place in the 
near future, with date and place to be announced. Family members express 
sincere thanks to the Tulane University Medical Center seventh floor staff for 
the wonderful care given to Emma.
