Napoleonville, Dec. 15. - The funeral of the late C. W. Thornton was held 
yesterday at Christ Church, Rev. Mr. Bowden officiating, and under the 
auspices of the St. Quintin Lodge No. 77, Knights of Pythias. A large 
attendence (sic) of friends of the family were present.

George Hanley Relief Agent of the Southern Pacific Railroad at New Iberia, 
is here temporarily to replace the late C. W. Thornton until a other agent 
will be appointed.
