Florence and Leon lived on South Washington Street in Marksville, near the train depot. One of their daughters practiced dentistry and she married a York. She, Dr. York, practiced in New Orleans., igrant to Avoyelles born c1826, native of France, migrated to Avoyelles where he married Eugenie Mayeux, born 1838, daughter of Joachim Mayeux and Azelia Ducote. They had twelve children: Marie M. Garrot, born 1853 Rosina Garrot, born 1855 Severin Garrot, II, born 1856 Eugenie Garrot, born 1858 Leon Garrot, born 1859 Jean Pierre Garrot, born 1861 Ezilde Garrot, born 1862 Emmanueline Garrot, born 1863 Emmanuel Garrot, born 1867 Leontine Garrot, born 1869 Felicie Garrot, born c1871 Belle Garrot, born 1873 Of these children: born 1859, . Eugenie Garrot Ducote, widow of James Horace Ducote, died at the age of 72 in January of 1932. Their old homeplace still stands on Marksville's Main Street and is the home of their daughter-in-lay, Ethel Tanner Ducote, married James Horace Ducote. # # #
