Obituary - Extracted from Alexandria Daily Town Talk, Friday, 
16 August 1996, P. D-3, Column 1. 

Virginia Ford Andrews, age 89 of Marksville (La.) died 13 August 1996 in 
Rapides General Hospital.  She was a native of Marksville. She was a member 
of St. Mary Baptist Church. Survivors:  5 Sons:  Samuel Andrews, Jr. of 
Evergreen (La.)  Joseph Andrews Sr., Floyd Andrews Sr., Leroy Andrews & 
Phildren (sic) Andrews, all of Marksville.  3 Daughters:  Lether (sic) 
Ford & Laura Mae Andrews, both of Marksville;  Laura A. Hudson of Avondale, 
Arizona.  3 Brothers:  Oliver Ford, George Ford and Lindsey Ford, all of 
Marksville.  4 Sisters: Susie Sullivan of Mansura (La.), Mary Hayward of 
Alexandria (La.), Mary Mae Ballard & Francis (sic) Harris, both of 
Bordelonville (La.) 24 Grandchildren and 3 Step & 7 Great-Grandchildren, 
3 Step Great-Great-Grands. Services:  Held at 11 am. Saturday in St. Mary 
Baptist Church with Rev. Laudrick Jones officiating. Burial was in the 
church cemetery.
