Sidney Anita "Nita" Pearce Shannon, age 90, died 6 May 1996, due to 
complications following an accidental fall at her Shreveport residence. 
She was a native of Bunkie, La. and a graduate of Bunkie High School. 
She attended Alexandria Business College and was a former resident of 
Alexandria, La Survivor: Husband, George W. Shannon of Shreveport, 
formerly of Alexandria, La. Services: Held at 2 pm. Wednesday in First 
Baptist Church in Shreveport, La. with Rev. Dr. Jon Stubblefield 
officiating. Burial: Under direction of Osborn Funeral Home of 
Oakdale, La. in Forest Park Cemetery.
