Marriage Certificate                        filed:  June 28, 1870

State of Louisiana, Parish of Aboyelles}  Be it known, that on this twenty
?third? day of June A.D. one thousand eight hundred and seventy,  Before me 
the undersigned ?Curate? of the Church of St. Joseph in and for the Parish of 
Avoyelles, personally came and appeared
Mr  Celestin Bordelon and Miss Eliska Bordelon, who having provided the 
license required by the law signified their intention and desire to be united 
in the bonds of matrimony.

Wereupon, I, the said ?Curate? in the presence of the undersigned competent 
witnesses, did join the said parties in wedlock and pronounce them man and 
wife.

In faith whereof, the said parties together with the undersigned witnesses and 
me the said ?Curate? have hereunto on the day, month and year ?past? aforesaid 
signed these presents.

Additional Comments:
This is a handwritten Marriage Certificate that was very hard to read as it 
was in old style script. I have recorded it to the best of my ability, and any 
error, missed letters or wording were either not readable or could have been 
misinterpreted, and were not intentional. I have put ? before and after the 
words that I did my best guess to interpret.
