DIRECTIONS: Traveling on La. Hwy 109 from STARKSS 7 miles north of Starks turn right (east) onto Gene Nelson Rd (black-topped & across the highway from Smith Cemetery Rd.) Travel 1 mile to Archie Clark Cemetery Rd. Continue 1 mile to Clark Cemetery near intersection of Barrow Loop & Gene Nelson Rd. Sometimes referred to as Babe Clark Cemetery. It is named after Alexander L. "Babe" Clark son of John Harvey and Rachel (Drake) Clark Sr. This area was known as Clark Settlement. It was in Calcasieu Parish northeast of Starks, but is now in Beauregard Parish. Settlers began coming into the area after the Civil War. There are two other Clark cemeteries in the area. Archie Clark is approximately one milest of Clark or Babe Clark & Dick Clark cemetery is nearby.
