Obituary: Caleb C. Bailey

Caleb C. Bailey, 87

  Caleb C. Bailey, aged 87, long
Time resident of this section of the
State, passed away at the home of 
Mr. And Mrs. Obe Simmons in
Evans, January 17, 1947. Mr. 
Bailey was a native of Dry Creek
And had resided at Evans for the
Past 11 years.
  Funeral services were held Sunday, 
January 17, 1947 at 2:00 p.m. at the
Baptist Church at Evans with Rev.
J.O. Fountain officiating. Interment 
Was in the Evans Cemetery under 
The direction of Hixson’s Funeral
Home.
  Mr. Bailey was a long time member
Of the Diamond Mill Baptist Church.
He also resided in Vernon for over
50 years.
  Mr. Bailey is survived by one sister,
Mrs. Charlotte Brown, Dry Creek; 8
Grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren
And 2 great great grandchildren.
