Don Hunt officiating. Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery. Poche, 72, of Dry Creek died Tuesday, June 22, 1999, in Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of Moss Bluff from 1950-1992 and a retired frozen food salesman for Cash Groceries and Sales and Sysco Foods. He was the first frozen food salesman in Lake Charles and was known as "Lynn the Frozen Food Man". He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Navy. Survivors include his wife, Ann Poche of Dry Creek; three daughters, Lynda LeDoux of Gilmer, Texas, Pat Arnold of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Terry Calloway of Lake Charles; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Cole will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Beauregard-Vernon. Burial will be in Cole Cemetery in Sugartown. Cole, 75, of Houma died Wednesday, June 23, 1999, in his residence. He was a native of Sugartown and a U.S World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps. He was a teacher and administrator for the Terrebonne Parish School Board and had been a coach at East Beauregard High School and Thibodeaux High School. He was the former owner of Cole Real Estate. Survivors include one son, Frank H. Cole of Westlake; four daughters, Lorraine C. Dupre of Opelousas, and Claudette C. Dungan, Jo Allie C. Voiron and Ginger C. McFatter, all of Houma; one brother, Roger Cole of Sugartown; one sister, Nellie C. McFatter of Houma; 27 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church for 75 years where she held many teaching positions. He was a native of Calvin, a graduate of Calvin High School and an All-State Basketball player on the Calvin High School State Championship Team of 1939. He received his Bachelors and Masters of Education Degrees from Northwestern State University. He was a teacher, coach, principal and supervisor in Natchitoches Parish before retiring from the Louisiana Public School System. He was a member of Beauregard Parish School Board, Rotary Club of DeQuincy, VFW Post No. 3802 and various other local clubs and organizations. He was president of Beauregard Parish Farm Bureau, served on the board of directors of Louisiana Farm Bureau and on the board of directors of Louisiana Heart O'Dixie Tennessee Walking Horse Association. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church of DeRidder. Survivors include his wife, Carol C. Canerday of Singer; one son, Ronald D. Christy, 76, of DeRidder, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, in Beauregard Memorial Hospital, DeRidder. He was a building contractor for residential property. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Jordan, 93, of DeRidder, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, in Beauregard Memorial Hospital, DeRidder. He was a native of Baker County, Ga., where he was a farmer and construction worker. He moved to DeRidder in 1980. He was a member of Primitive Baptist Church in Rosepine and attended Hopewell Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Inez M. He was a charter member of Ludington Lions Club and a U.S. Navy veteran where he served as a Seaman 1st Class. Survivors include his wife, Willie Jolene George of DeRidder; one son, Spero A. George Jr. of DeRidder; four daughters, Frances, Coody of Merryville, Jackie George of Rosepine, Belenda Reed of Ragley and Virginia Garner of DeRidder; four brothers, Nick George of Dry Creek, Manuel George of Houston, Jimmy George of DeRidder and Earl Burrell of Stuttgart, Ark.; two sisters, Sue Campbell of Dry Creek and Kathy Moses of DeRidder; and six grandchildren.
