Buxton Buried in Doyle Cemetery Reported to American Press DeRidder, LA., Oct. 29 --- William R. Buxton, age 66, died Saturday at 12:35 o'clock in St. Patrick's hospital and funeral services were held in Starks Pentecostal church at 2 p.m. Sunday. Burial was in the Doyle cemetery, with Rev. W.H. Dunn, Rev. L.J. Nichols and Rev. J.W. Evans officiating. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Jim Poole, Mrs. Earl Kelly, Mrs. Levi Branneff, Mrs. Leroy Rogers, Miss Margarete Buxton, Miss Sophie Buxton, all of Starks; six sons, Gerald Ray Buxton, Starks, T.F. Buxton, Port Arthur, Texas, W.L. Buxton, Baton Rouge, Jack Buxton, Army Air Force, Pratt Kans., Pfc. Herbert Buxton, Army Air Force, Toyoko, Japan, and Phillip M. Corry, Starks; 24 grandchildren; one great-child; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Doyle and Mrs. Dosia Lambright, both of Starks, and Mrs. Ell Lambright of Pitkin; and three brothers. Mr. Buxton had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances in both Calcasieu and Beauregard Parishes having been a deputy sheriff at Starks for a number of years. Pallbearers were: Hastin Buxton, Claude Buxton, Clint Buxton, Lloyd Buxton, Wilbert Buxton and Foley Buxton. Hixson funeral home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
