Hyatt, Member of Business Firm, Untimely Summoned. Singer, La., Sept. 14.- The death of Cordean T. Hyatt, which occurred at this place last Friday afternoon about 3 p.m., was one of the saddest and most unexpected in the history of this little town. Mr. Hyatt was sick but a few days and no one realized that his condition was at all critical until a very few hours before his death. No man in this vicinity enjoyed a wider circle of friends than did Mr. Hyatt. His word was as good as his bond, hnce all who knew him had implicit confidence in him. He left a good name behind him which will long keep his memory green in the hearts of his friends. Unkind words did not belong in his vocabulary. There was nothing little in his character, but much that was broad and charitable. Words fail to express the enormity of the loss sustained by this community in the death of this noble man among noble man. Every one grieves as for the loss of a brother. Mr. Hyatt was a successful business man. He was the junior partner of the firm of Hyatt Bros. At one time he was a prominent teacher in the public schools of the parish. He leaves a wife and four children, a mother and several brothers.
