Confidence Has Been restored since visit of Dr. Brady. 

DeQuincy, La., November 18 – Mayor J. Lee Herford and brother G. A. Herford, 
returned today from Bancroft, La., where they have been for several days in 
attendance at the bedside of their mother, who died Thursday morning, Nov. 16, 
about one o’clock and was buried at the Salem Ferry graveyard Friday afternoon 
about three o’clock. Mrs. Herford is the mother of Judge D. D. Herford and 
Mrs. Lucy L. Foster, the postmistress at DeQuincy. She leaves behind her 
husband J. C. Herford and seven children to mourn her loss. Drs. Slay of 
Bancroft and Fleming of Smith logging camps attended her during her last 
illness.
