Arthur Singleton Cooley Born 24 Feb 1866 in Laurel Miss. Died 03
Jul 1957 in Beauregard Parish. Husband of Sarah Louella "Harper"
Cooley and father to 12 Children, Melvin, Berry, Oliver, James
Pat, Dempsey, Harry Houston, Bateman, Addie, Alva, Mary
Sevella, Roy Leon and Della Cooley. Arthur was the son of
Little Berry Cooley and Lovenia "Arriington" Cooley.

Arthur was first recorded in 1880 Census living in Barnes 
Creek,Calcasieu (Beauregard) was at the time Calcasieu. Little
Berry and his family which included Arthur was part of the 
first Cooley's to settle in Beauregard Parish.
